Love 'em May 10, 2010 C. Morris (Indy, Indiana) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We purchased and moved into a house that already had these bulbs in many of the overhead fixtures and were also used exclusively in the basement and outside fixtures. I had never used the newer cfls because of poor experience with older cfls. I'm very impressed with the new versions. Instant on and long life. The bulbs last much longer than incandescent bulbs. I would have to replace a regular outside incandescent once per month. With the cfls, I've only replaced one outside light in the last 8 months and I don't know how ling it was there to begin with as it was in the fixture when we moved into the house. I'm sold on these for energy savings and long life!

These save you money that's not a joke they really do work. I have changed all mine to these in my house and can see a price drop on my electric bill and they last longer.
Inexpensive CFL's October 3, 2009 S. Bassaw (New York, NY) 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
I recently rehabbed a rental property. In the process, we replaced all the light fixtures with new ones. I needed bulbs for these fixtures. I ended up going with CFL's because they would be more efficient and I assume the tenants would appreciate it. These bulbs fit into all of the fixtures we installed. The bulbs were inexpensive. I purchased 4 packs (32 bulbs) for $50. The light quality is good and it doesn't have a very log start up time. It's almost instantaneously. If you're looking for quality, yet inexpensive CFL bulbs, this is the way to go.
Nice but don't last long. November 5, 2009 Thöm Frost 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
The seller was great but the bulbs left something to be desired.
I got them around September 4th 2009 and here it is November 4th 2009 and half of the bulbs are dead.
The package says they are 5 year bulb's well if so that 5 years just blew by.
I contacted GE about this but don't expect to hear anything back from them.
I would say stay away from these GE CF bulbs.
Poor Lifespan May 20, 2010 Robby Thompson (Brooklyn, NY United States) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
The bulb was great when I first installed it. But then 3-4 months later, it's dead. This is a bulb that should last 4-5 years with normal usage.
